Donating clothing and household goods is an easy, no-cost way to support America's veterans — and to clear out items you no longer need. The simplest way to donate is through Vietnam Veterans of America's free pickup service. Schedule a pickup online, leave your labeled bags or boxes outside on the scheduled day, and their driver will collect them — rain or shine — and leave you a tax-deductible receipt.
Clothing is especially needed. They accept clothing of all types and sizes (men's, ladies', children's, baby's), clothing accessories, shoes of all kinds, baby items, house and glassware, books, toys, bikes, stereos, radios, portable TVs, all bedding, draperies and curtains, kitchenware, small furniture and rugs, small appliances, tools of all kinds, and jewelry and cosmetics.
Just place your items out and label them for Vietnam Veterans of America (or VVA) where they're clearly visible from the street — the driver will look for your donation. That's it.
Vietnam Veterans of America will pick up your clothing and household donations right from your home, at no cost.
