From Anchorage to Fairbanks and Juneau, Salute Veterans Inc. accepts any titled vehicle from Alaska residents — running or not — with free pickup in serviceable areas.
Alaska has the highest veteran density of any state — more than 7 percent of its adult population — though the raw count is closer to 60,000. Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson outside Anchorage combines the Army's U.S. Army Alaska headquarters with Pacific Air Forces operations, while Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base anchor the military presence in the Fairbanks area. Juneau serves as the state capital despite being road-isolated from the rest of the state.
Free vehicle pickup is available across road-accessible Alaska — Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley, the Kenai Peninsula, Fairbanks and the North Pole area, and points along the Parks, Glenn, and Richardson Highways. VeteransDonations.org accepts cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, and snowmobiles. For remote and off-road communities, we work case-by-case to find the right transport option.
Alaska vehicle title transfers go through the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles. After pickup, you'll complete Alaska's standard notice-of-transfer process to release liability — the DMV provides the appropriate form and we'll guide you to it at scheduling. The donation itself is tax-deductible to Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. To start, call 1-888-324-2772 or use the donation form on this page.
Free pickup · Tax receipt · Supports veterans
Alaska donations often involve pickups, 4x4s, and boats — the vehicles that define daily life across a state where distances are long and roads don't reach every corner. Bush planes and small aircraft from Anchorage, Fairbanks, and rural airstrips are also accepted, along with motorcycles, utility trailers, and older RVs. Pickup logistics account for the state's realities, including barge transport where over-the-road access isn't possible. Every donated vehicle supports veterans through Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; running or not, titled and clear to transfer.
We accept more than cars. Choose a vehicle type below to learn more and start your donation.
