From New Orleans and Baton Rouge to Lafayette and Shreveport, Salute Veterans Inc. accepts any titled vehicle from Louisiana residents — running or not — with free statewide pickup.
Louisiana supports a veteran community of approximately 210,000. Fort Polk — restored to its original name in 2025 — is the home of the Joint Readiness Training Center and the 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division, while Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City serves as the headquarters of Air Force Global Strike Command and a major B-52 base. Baton Rouge is the state capital.
Free vehicle pickup is available across Louisiana — from New Orleans and the Greater New Orleans area west through Baton Rouge and Lafayette to Lake Charles, north to Alexandria and Shreveport, and across the Atchafalaya and bayou country. VeteransDonations.org accepts any titled vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, jet skis — useful given Louisiana's water-heavy lifestyle. Whether the vehicle is parked in a Garden District driveway or sitting on rural property in Cajun country, we coordinate the right transport at no cost.
Louisiana vehicle title transfers go through the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles. After pickup, you'll follow the state's standard transfer-of-ownership process to release liability — Louisiana requires a notarized act of donation or sale, and we'll guide you through what's needed at scheduling. The donation is tax-deductible to Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. To start, call 1-888-324-2772 or use the donation form on this page.

Louisiana donations lean toward the state's coastal and Delta character — boats from Cajun country, the Gulf Coast, and the Mississippi River communities; pickups from rural and urban donors; and motorcycles cruising New Orleans and Lafayette. Classic cars and Cadillac-era sedans from the Garden District and Delta estates come in through the donation stream, along with tractors and farm equipment from sugar cane country, dump trucks and box trucks from small commercial operations, and RVs from Gulf Coast retirees. Every donation is tax-deductible to Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3).
We accept more than cars. Choose a vehicle type below to learn more and start your donation.
