From Detroit and Grand Rapids to Traverse City and the Upper Peninsula, Salute Veterans Inc. accepts any titled vehicle from Michigan residents — running or not — with free statewide pickup.
Michigan is home to roughly 460,000 veterans across both peninsulas. Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Macomb County — one of the oldest continuously operating military airfields in the country — supports Air National Guard and Army National Guard operations, while Camp Grayling in the northern Lower Peninsula is the largest National Guard training facility in the country by area. Lansing is the state capital.
Free vehicle pickup is available throughout Michigan — from Detroit and the metro area west to Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, north through Saginaw and Traverse City to the Mackinac Bridge, and across the Upper Peninsula to Marquette and Sault Ste. Marie. VeteransDonations.org accepts any titled vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, jet skis, snowmobiles — particularly relevant in a state with a 3,200-mile shoreline and serious winters. Whether the vehicle is in a Bloomfield Hills garage or stored at a U.P. cabin, we arrange transport at no cost.
Michigan vehicle title transfers go through the Michigan Secretary of State, which handles vehicle services in Michigan rather than a separate DMV. After pickup, you'll follow the state's standard transfer-of-ownership process to release liability — the appropriate form is filed at a Secretary of State branch, and we'll point you to the right step. The donation is tax-deductible to Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. To start, call 1-888-324-2772 or use the donation form on this page.

Michigan is Motor City, and it shows in the donation mix. Muscle cars, classic Chevys and Fords, and vintage American iron come from Detroit, Flint, and Grand Rapids collectors in volume. Boats from the Great Lakes shoreline, pickups from across the Lower and Upper Peninsulas, and motorcycles from riders statewide round out the everyday range. Fruit-belt agriculture adds tractors, farm equipment, and orchard trailers. Semi-trucks and freight vehicles come in from I-75, I-94, and I-96 corridors. Every donation supports Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3).
We accept more than cars. Choose a vehicle type below to learn more and start your donation.
