Montana ranks among the top states in veteran density, with approximately 80,000 veterans across the state's vast geography. Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls — home of the 341st Missile Wing — operates one of three Minuteman III ICBM fields in the country, with launch facilities scattered across central Montana. Helena is the state capital.
Free vehicle pickup is available throughout Montana — from Billings and Bozeman west through Helena and Missoula to Kalispell and the Flathead Valley, north along the Hi-Line, and south to the Wyoming border. VeteransDonations.org accepts any titled vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, ATVs, snowmobiles — practical given the recreation and ranch culture in Montana. Whether the vehicle is parked in a Bozeman driveway or sitting on a ranch in eastern Montana, we coordinate transport at no cost.
Montana vehicle title transfers go through the Montana Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) within the Department of Justice. After pickup, you'll follow the state's standard transfer-of-ownership process to release liability — the MVD provides the appropriate form and we'll guide you to it at scheduling. Montana's ranching, timber, and vast geography shape the donation mix. Pickups and heavy-duty 4x4s from ranches across the state, tractors and hay equipment from cattle country, utility trailers and stock trailers from operations working the plains and foothills, and RVs and motorhomes from Bozeman, Missoula, and Billings donors are all common. Motorcycles cruising Glacier and Yellowstone country, classic cars from small-town garages, and boats from rivers and lakes round out the range.
