New York is home to roughly 580,000 veterans across the state's varied regions. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point on the Hudson River anchors the state's deepest military tradition, while Fort Drum near Watertown houses the 10th Mountain Division — one of the most-deployed Army divisions of the post-9/11 era. Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn supports the New York City metro area. Albany is the state capital.
Free vehicle pickup is available throughout New York — from the five boroughs and Long Island north through the Hudson Valley to Albany, west through the Mohawk Valley and Finger Lakes to Rochester and Buffalo, and into the North Country and Adirondacks. VeteransDonations.org accepts any titled vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, jet skis, snowmobiles. Whether the vehicle is parked in a Brooklyn driveway or sitting at an Adirondack cabin, we coordinate the right transport at no cost.
New York vehicle title transfers go through the New York Department of Motor Vehicles. After pickup, you'll follow the state's standard notification process to release liability — New York provides specific forms for reporting a sold vehicle, and we'll guide you to the right one at scheduling. Classic cars, motorcycles, and boats from Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and the Finger Lakes; semi-trucks and box trucks from freight corridors along I-90, I-87, and I-81; and farm equipment, tractors, and haying trailers from upstate agricultural country are all common. Pickups, RVs, dump trucks, and commercial vehicles come in from every direction.
