Oregon supports a veteran community of approximately 245,000 across the state's range of landscapes. The Oregon National Guard maintains the state's most visible military presence, with Camp Adair near Corvallis and Camp Withycombe in Clackamas County serving as primary training facilities. Salem is the state capital, between Portland and Eugene in the Willamette Valley.
Free vehicle pickup is available throughout Oregon — from Portland and the Willamette Valley south through Salem and Eugene to Medford and the California border, east across the Cascades to Bend and the high desert, and along the coast from Astoria to Brookings. VeteransDonations.org accepts any titled vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, jet skis. Whether the vehicle is parked in a Portland driveway or sitting at a coast cabin, we arrange the right transport at no cost.
Oregon vehicle title transfers go through the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV). After pickup, you'll follow the state's standard notice-of-sale process to release liability — Oregon's online portal handles the filing electronically, and we'll point you to it at scheduling. Oregon donations reflect the state's Willamette Valley agriculture, coastal character, and Cascade recreation. Tractors, farm equipment, and utility trailers from valley operations, boats from the coast and Columbia River, pickups from timber country, and classic cars from Portland and Eugene collectors are all common. Motorcycles, RVs, and motorhomes from the state's outdoor culture, semi-trucks from I-5 freight, and small aircraft from general aviation airfields add to the range. Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, coordinates free pickup statewide on titled vehicles regardless of running condition.
