From Sioux Falls and Rapid City to Pierre and the Black Hills, Salute Veterans Inc. accepts any titled vehicle from South Dakota residents — running or not — with free statewide pickup.
South Dakota is home to approximately 54,000 veterans across the state. Ellsworth Air Force Base east of Rapid City — home of the 28th Bomb Wing operating the B-1 Lancer — anchors the state's military presence and is slated to receive the new B-21 Raider as the platform comes online. Pierre is the state capital.
Free vehicle pickup is available throughout South Dakota — from Sioux Falls and the southeastern corner west across the prairie through Pierre and Mitchell, into the Black Hills around Rapid City, and up to Belle Fourche and the North Dakota border. VeteransDonations.org accepts any titled vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, ATVs, snowmobiles. Whether the vehicle is parked in a Sioux Falls driveway or sitting at a Black Hills cabin, we arrange the right transport at no cost.
South Dakota vehicle title transfers go through the South Dakota Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Division. After pickup, you'll follow the state's standard transfer-of-ownership process to release liability, and we'll guide you to the appropriate step at scheduling. South Dakota's Black Hills, ranching heritage, and Sturgis motorcycle culture shape a distinctive donation mix. Motorcycles from Sturgis-era riders and everyday commuters, pickups and 4x4s from ranches and small towns, tractors and combines from wheat and cattle country, and grain-hauling and stock trailers from ag operations all come through. Classic cars, boats from the Missouri River lakes, RVs, and semi-trucks from I-90 freight corridors round out the range.
