From Houston and Dallas to El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley, Salute Veterans Inc. accepts any titled vehicle from Texas residents — running or not — with free statewide pickup.
Texas is home to roughly 1.6 million veterans — one of the largest veteran populations in the country — supported by a deep network of military installations across the state. Fort Hood in Bell County houses III Armored Corps and remains one of the U.S. Army's largest installations by population, while Joint Base San Antonio combines Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base, and Fort Sam Houston in and around the San Antonio area. The state capital, Austin, sits within that same central Texas corridor.
Free vehicle pickup is available statewide, from Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth through Austin and San Antonio out to El Paso, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley. As an umbrella program, VeteransDonations.org is the one place to handle a donation for any titled vehicle — cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, ATVs, jet skis — without juggling multiple charities. Whether the vehicle is parked in a Houston suburb or off a farm road in West Texas, we coordinate the right transport at no cost.
Texas vehicle transfers run through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Once we tow your vehicle, you'll file a Motor Vehicle Transfer Notification (Form VTR-346) with TxDMV within 30 days to release liability — a short notice that protects you from any issues with the vehicle after it leaves your possession. The donation itself is tax-deductible to Salute Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. To start, call 1-888-324-2772 or use the donation form on this page.
