How to Donate Your Motorcycle

Salute Veterans Inc. accepts motorcycles of any make, model, and condition — Harley, Honda, Yamaha, Ducati, BMW, Indian, KTM, vintage builds, and project bikes. We use specialized motorcycle transport, not flatbed car carriers, so your bike arrives at auction without strap or load damage. Non-running motorcycles and bikes missing parts are accepted.

We tow from garages, storage units, side yards, and indoor collections nationwide. After towing and auction fees, net proceeds fund Salute Veterans Inc. programs supporting veteran employment, transition services, and the nonprofit VeteransDirectory.org.

How It Works

Three Simple Steps

The process is built for motorcycles from first contact through the tax acknowledgment. Pickup, paperwork, and title assistance are handled on our end.

01

Tell Us About Your Bike

Call to donate a vehicle at 1-888-324-2772 or complete the form with the make, model, condition, and location. Most donations are accepted on the first call, and title assistance is available where needed.

02

We Arrange Pickup

Motorcycles are picked up by trailer or van from a garage, driveway, or storage unit — simple and low-fuss. Pickup is available anywhere in the United States at no cost to you.

03

Tax Acknowledgment in the Mail

After the motorcycle sells at auction, your IRS tax acknowledgment arrives — showing the gross sale price, sale date, and Salute Veterans Inc.'s 501(c)(3) certification.

What We Accept

Every Type, Every Condition

Motorcycles across every category — cruisers, touring bikes and baggers, sport bikes, standards, adventure and dual-sport, dirt bikes, choppers and customs, vintage and classic bikes, trikes, and larger scooters. Running or not, project bikes and bikes missing parts included.

Why Donate

Why Donate Your Motorcycle

A motorcycle donation is one of the simplest ways to clear a bike out of the garage while supporting veterans. Here is what sets the program apart.

Verified 501(c)(3)

Your donation supports Salute Veterans Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit under Tax ID 84-2016237. Every acknowledgment is IRS-compliant and fully documented.

Trailer or Van, No Fuss

Motorcycles are collected by trailer or van from a garage, driveway, or storage unit — no strap or load damage, and no cost to you anywhere in the country.

Running or Not

Non-running bikes, project builds, and motorcycles missing parts are all workable. Condition is rarely a disqualifier — the resale and parts market absorbs a wide spectrum.

Cruisers to Customs

From touring baggers and sport bikes to vintage builds, trikes, and choppers, nearly every type of street-legal motorcycle is accepted for donation.

Title Assistance Available

Missing paperwork is common on older bikes. We can guide you through duplicate title, registration, or bill-of-sale paths that vary by state before pickup is scheduled.

Proceeds Fund Veteran Programs

Net proceeds — after transport and auction costs — support Salute Veterans Inc.'s veteran employment programs, transition resources, and the free national directory at VeteransDirectory.org.
