Yes. Salute Veterans Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Tax ID 84-2016237), so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The exact deduction depends on what you give and its value — always confirm the specifics with your tax preparer.

You'll receive documentation appropriate to your donation. For most gifts, a receipt is issued reflecting the value of your donation and the date. For donated vehicles that sell for more than $500, you'll receive IRS Form 1098-C. For non-cash gifts like real estate or valuables, IRS Form 8283 may apply. Keep your receipt for your records when you file.

Choose the vehicle option, complete the form, and we'll arrange free pickup nationwide — running or not. The vehicle is sold, and the net proceeds support veteran programs. You'll receive a tax receipt for your records. Full details are on our vehicle donation page.

For clothing and household goods, we point you to a trusted veteran-supporting pickup service that collects items right from your home. For electronics like phones and tablets, we point you to a reputable program that securely wipes and refurbishes devices. Yes. For real estate, you can start a no-obligation inquiry and we'll walk you through the process and its significant tax advantages. For jewelry and valuables, you can generate a free prepaid shipping label and mail your items in securely. Each has its own page with full instructions.

Net proceeds — after the real costs of processing — go to Salute Veterans Inc. to fund veteran transition programs, employment initiatives, and the free public resources we operate for veterans nationwide.
