A Program Built for Collector Vehicles

ClassicCarDonation.org is now part of VeteransDonations.org, and the process here is built around what a collector vehicle actually needs. Cars are moved on enclosed or flatbed haulers — never hook-and-chain wreckers — so the vehicle arrives at auction in the same condition it left the driveway. Non-running project cars, decades-parked barn finds, and vehicles that need a lost-title search are all workable.

Because collector vehicles typically sell well above the $500 threshold, your acknowledgment includes IRS Form 1098-C — the documentation required for higher-value vehicle deductions. Net proceeds fund Salute Veterans Inc.'s veteran employment programs, transition resources, and the free national directory at VeteransDirectory.org.

How It Works

Three Simple Steps

The process is built for collector vehicles from first contact through the tax acknowledgment. Transport, paperwork, and title assistance are handled on our end.

01

Tell Us About Your Car

Call to donate a vehicle at 1-888-324-2772 or complete the form with year, make, model, condition, and location. Most donations are accepted on the first call, and title assistance is available where needed.

02

We Arrange Specialty Transport

Enclosed or flatbed transport is coordinated to your vehicle's value and condition — never a hook-and-chain wrecker. Pickup is available anywhere in the United States at no cost to you.

03

Form 1098-C in the Mail

After the vehicle sells at auction, your IRS Form 1098-C arrives within 45 days — showing the gross sale price, sale date, and Salute Veterans Inc.'s 501(c)(3) certification.

What We Accept

Every Make, Every Era, Every Condition

Vintage and collector vehicles across every category — American muscle, European sports cars, hot rods and customs, antiques, project cars, and barn finds. Running or not, restored or in original patina, from the brass era through late-model collectibles.

Why Donate

Why Donate Your Classic Car

Collector vehicle donations are handled differently from ordinary car donations. Here is what sets the program apart.

Verified 501(c)(3)

Your donation supports Salute Veterans Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit under Tax ID 84-2016237. Every acknowledgment is IRS-compliant and fully documented.

Enclosed Transport for Collector Cars

Collector vehicles move on enclosed or flatbed haulers appropriate to their value — not the hook-and-chain wreckers used for ordinary donations. The right equipment protects the car in transit.

Project Cars & Barn Finds

Non-running vehicles, incomplete restorations, and long-parked barn finds are all workable. Condition is rarely a disqualifier — the collector auction market absorbs vehicles across the full spectrum.

Title Assistance Available

Lost titles are common on decades-parked classics. We can guide you through duplicate title, bonded title, or state-specific paperwork paths before pickup is scheduled.

IRS Receipt Within 45 Days

Because collector vehicles typically sell well above the $500 threshold, your acknowledgment includes IRS Form 1098-C — the specific documentation required for higher-value vehicle deductions.

Proceeds Fund Veteran Programs

Net proceeds — after transport and auction costs — support Salute Veterans Inc.'s veteran employment programs, transition resources, and the free national directory at VeteransDirectory.org.
